Reach the Heart Moment: Taking It to the Edge

Published on:

The phrase "taking it to the edge" is all about those people who move from the middle of the road into a lifestyle of aggressive pursuit of who God is.

I call it X-treme Christianity. It is the kind of Christianity that is willing to step out in faith to believe God for impossible things to happen.

The impossible. Like that friend who you have known for so long. The one you have that you never considered would become a Christian, so why bother.

As I read the Bible, it is apparent that everyone who was ever anybody in the Bible were people who took it to the extreme.

They were people who did things that if God did not show up, they would look like a fool. When was the last time you believed God for something impossible to happen?

Daniel took a stand for what he believed. The government of his day told him he needed to change how he prayed. But Daniel determined to do what pleased God! And as a result, he was placed amongst hungry lions! However, it was at that moment that God showed up and shut the mouths of the lions.

Peter and John in Acts 3 were on their way to church one day when a crippled man called out to them for help. He wanted money. But Peter and John gave him something everyone else thought impossible, the ability to walk in Jesus' name. Nothing is impossible when you believe in Jesus Christ!

Matthew 6:33 says,

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

I’m Pastor Cal, and I pray you reach a heart through this Reach the Heart Moment.
