In the book of Daniel, we have two stories of incredible courage by people who took a stand.

In the story of Shadrach, Meshack, and Abendigo, they would not bow to any idol when the music was played.

In the story of Daniel, we see how Daniel would not stop bowing, but determined in his heart that his relationship to God was more important than some self-serving government's law to have people stop praying. Daniel’s life was a life that was based on prayer. In fact, those who hated Daniel decided since they could find nothing corrupt about him, they would attempt to stop his praying.

As a Christian who has determined to follow Jesus Christ, the most important appointment you have each day is your time of prayer.

Setting aside time daily to communicate with God will put you in a position to be better equipped to face anything that Satan wants to do to you. For you and I, like Daniel, there are going to be those that will attempt to stop your prayer life.

Decide to make prayer your priority.

It may mean getting up earlier each day, shutting off the TV, or whatever you choose to sacrifice.

Perhaps God will then turn those moments of prayer into miracle moments!
