It seems that often our desire to walk for God is constantly being overshadowed by those thoughts and feelings that we know are not pure. As a result, you then begin to wrestle with feelings of guilt, worry and wonder how God could ever use you when you have let him down so bad. But no matter what temptations come your way, there is one thing that God has assured you and me in 1 Corinthians 10:13,
"...he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
Yes, temptations will happen in your life, and it would be easy for you to give in rather than to persist and do what is right.
In the book of Revelations, seven times the Word says that to those “who overcome”, God will establish them strong over the very thing they have been tempted with. In particular listen to what Jesus said in Revelation 3 to one group of people, the church of Philadelphia, that I’m sure He is speaking to us today,
“...I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name...Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. The victorious one I will make a pillar in the temple of my God.”
