Instead, some of the world’s significant moments of impact have been by ordinary people who never gave up!
Throughout the Bible, God used many people to accomplish incredible feats. We look at what is written about them now and assume they were extraordinary people during their time, but most of them were no different from you and me.
David was a shepherd boy who became a king because he willingly let God use him. Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a young teenage girl, who said to the angel in Luke 1:38,
“I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.”
Moses was a person who had difficulty with speech and was even afraid to stand before a crowd to speak. In fact, on several occasions, the scripture tells us that Moses beseeched God to find and use someone else with greater ability. But God saw Moses’ heart for His people and chose to use him.
As with David, Mary, and Moses, God still looks for someone willing to make themselves available to serve Him. Would you be willing as David to face a giant? Would you be willing to risk your reputation as Mary? Would you be willing as Moses to be a leader?
