I’ve seen individuals who allowed themselves to think that they are indispensable and there is no way anyone can ever get along without them.
Wow! To allow yourself to think such things is to rob yourself of the opportunity to be most effective for the kingdom of God. Too often, individuals get an attitude that they don’t need anyone in their life, and as a result, they become a lone ranger, seeing others and usually their church as not doing things right. Hebrews 10:25 says,
“Not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
The day that is approaching is when Jesus will return for those who have committed to Him and made him Savior and Lord of their life. In the eyes of Jesus, none of us are indispensable. To be dispensable means we will spend eternity in hell, and Jesus desires no one to be lost, but that each one of us will inherit the Kingdom of God.
