Reach the Heart Moment: Going Beyond Your Limitations

Published on:
November 15, 2020

How often do you hear yourself saying, “I can’t do it. I just can’t do it.”?

Yet, when you attempt to accomplish what you have just thought impossible, you do it! Why? Because you have been willing to go beyond your self-imposed limitations. Biographers have written that Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb, failed with making 900 light bulbs that didn’t work, but 901 worked!

Over 900 times, Edison went to all the trouble of making a light bulb, plugging it in, flipping the switch, and watching while nothing happened. People probably thought he was nuts, but he kept trying. According to Edison,

“When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work.”

As a result, he is now known as one of the greatest inventors of all time!

Paul the Apostle, in Philippians 3:14, told those he was writing,

“I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.” (The Message)

That’s commitment.

Being committed doesn’t mean you are always successful. It means you are willing to hang in there, no matter what!

I’m Pastor Cal, and I pray you reach a heart through this Reach the Heart Moment.
