Hebrews 11:1 says that

“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and yet certain of what we do not see.”

Without faith, it is impossible to please God. So, it is faith that is the cornerstone of your walk and commitment to Jesus Christ. The hope that every believer has is that Jesus Christ died for your sins, and as a result, you can miss hell and go to heaven. This hope is the same in knowing Jesus Christ will be returning.

Several years ago, Dawson McAllister’s theme for a student conference was,

“Pack your bags. Jesus is coming.”

Of course, there will be no need for you to take with you an actual suitcase, but it does illustrate the necessity of having certain things taken care of so that you have no excuse.

So first, have you decided to accept Jesus Christ?

It may be a decision you think your going to have time for but is there ever enough time? The scripture says in 2 Corinthians 6:2,

“I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”

The empty baggage that we tend to hang tightly to is in the form of excuses.

They will do more to keep us from our destination than anything. Instead of making excuses, grab hold of the things God has for your life, and be prepared for the greatest moment that every believer can know!
