Reach the Heart Moment: Consistency

Published on:

Consistency requires thought and effort on a daily basis.

Steve Camp, a songwriter and a musician who impacted thousands with his songs of hope in Jesus, said the following:

“It wasn’t till the ripe old age of 17 that I came to the realization that my inactivity for the Lord was as sinful as the lusts and fashions of this world.”

We who call ourselves Christians need to determine that we cannot just sit idly by, but must, in fact, be consistently demonstrating a Christian lifestyle that will show others the reality of Christianity.

1 Timothy 4:16 tells us,

“Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.”

When others see the change in you as a result of what Christ is doing in your life, they need to make a decision,

“Can this same Jesus do for me what He is doing in you?”

The consistency of our lifestyle, loving God, and doing the right things may be the only Gospel our peers will ever see!

1 Corinthians 11:1 (ESV),

“Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.”

I’m Pastor Cal, and I pray you reach a heart through this Reach the Heart Moment.
